My wife and toddler son had a phenomenal time at The Grand, which continues to be the premier hotel that we have stayed in globally. We loved the pool, a real oasis within the Park Street area. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic, a great range of cold and hot dishes with a changing daily menu. The staff were incredible and really do place this hotel to the highest of echelons. The room was excellent and spacious with a wonderful shower/bath and nice closet area. They also provided us with a nice cot. We would really like to thank, in particular, Rishab from the Front Office for his kind manner and help and for spoiling our son with gifts and desserts, which he loved. Also Shrusti and Devd and Debayan (F&B Service Family) were amazing and really helped us with the in-house dining as we ate many meals in the restaurant due to the heat and age of our son. Thank you Shrusti too for the kind gifts for our son! We also loved the staff making us special waffles/treats for the baby. The House keeping staff, Shree Rupa and Sagar were fantastic with a high standard of cleaning and again, providing us with excellent toiletries to help bathe our son. Finally, thanks to the swimming pool staff including Mayunk for their attentive nature and spoiling us with ice-creams. We will definitely come back and all the staff, from the Front Desk, security and staff throughout the hotel we must say a massive thank you.

I loved the stay at Oberoi Grand. What stood out was the service, hospitality and of course the property itself. The Oberoi Grand is a heritage property that first opened in 1888. The lift, the staircase, the windows, the Banquet hall - every corner has a story. If you are a history buff, don't miss the old photos on the walls of the hotel. The staff at Oberoi Grand were warm, courteous and welcoming. A special shout out to Chef Jashn and Kumardeep for their warm hospitality at the restaurant and the Head Concierge - Aaron for his grand tour of this fascinating property. They have all the facilities you would expect - pool, spa, fitness center, a quaint bar, 3 restaurants (Multi-cuisine, Thai and Indian). The location of the hotel is too convenient. It is close to Eden Gardens / Maidan, New Market (where all the buzz is) and next to Esplanade metro station. The Indian Museum is a short walk from the hotel.

Stay here every year and the whole experience from arriving in the entrance from the bustling Street to stepping into the hotel is truly 1st class. Lovely smiles from all the staff. The breakfast is fantastic with a huge selection to choose from. Plenty of staff in all areas of the hotel. Room was perfect and very well serviced by housekeeping. Great location for Central Kolkata so didn't need taxis. We needed an early check in as we had been travelling 24 hours and our room was made available. Upon leaving at 0400 a takeaway light breakfast was supplied. The hotel spa is a wonderful service and definitely worth using. Looking forward to our return visit!

Amazing heritage hotel in the heart of Kolkata. An oasis of calm amongst the hustle and bustle of the vibrant neighbourhood. Excellent location for some amazing sights and local eating places. This hotel is exceptional because of its amazing staff who go above and beyond to ensure your needs are catered for. This extends across all areas of the hotel. We were there for 10 days and we felt so at home by the end of our stay and were truly sad to leave. The hotel food is also excellent with a great variety for evening dinner and the breakfast is simply superb and one of the best we have experienced. Rooms are quiet and very comfortable. We will definitely be returning to this hotel!

The staff was phenomenal, the included breakfast was yummy with food I have not tried in my life, the Thai restaurant was delicious. The service was at a level that I have not experienced before, including at some of the “best” hotels in the US. The room had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Even the laundry service was over the top. Our day guides told us we were in the perfect part of town and we went on several walks in nearby parks. It’s really really quiet once you leave the street. After being in India for several weeks the Oberoi was a vacation within an adventure. The business center worked very well for those needing to do business at any time.
